In September 2010, a Russian friend of mine, came to see me in Dalian. He was Oleg Markov, at whose apartment I stayed when I went to Moscow during my visit to St. Petersberg. As he came to Jinshitan, I took him to downtown Dalian and Lüshun, but he did not understand Lüshun, so I explained it used to be called Port Arthur during the Russo-Japanese War. We visited Baiyu Mountain where we could look down Lüshun Naval Port and Dongjikuan Mountain where there were still remains of the bunkers of the Russo-Japanese War.

We had a simple supper at my apartment with “Tomato and Scrambled Egg”, which I cooked, and talked about our plan of visiting Siberia in the following year. He brought with him a bottle of “Amur Gold” (Amurskoe Zoloto) vodka from Blagovoshchensk. (2010.09.09.)

In the same month, I was very glad to have a group of my fifteen high school alumni friends (including seven ladies) to visit me in Dalian. In the previous years, Tadao Suzuki, and Chieko Ito and her husband independently had visited me, and they must have been encouraged by these two to form this group, led by Koshiro Machida, to visit Harbin, Changchun and Dalian in China’s northeast region.

They first came to Dalian on Sunday, and delivered to me Japanese tea, men’s goods and a heavy wooden container which is used to make sushi, which I appreciated very much. As soon as we had for dinner spring pancakes at Dadi Shifu restaurant, they left for Harbin, then visited Changchun and came back by a night train to Dalian on Wednesday. In the morning of that day, they visited the former headquarters of Southern Manchurian Railway in downtown, and in the afternoon, I took them to see Dalian Software Park in the western suburbs. On Thursday, I joined them to go to Lüshun, stopping at Dongjikuan Mountain, 203 Highland and Shuishiying. One of the visiting ladies used to live in Dalian until six years old, at a place across from Zhongshan Park, and wanted to bring back her brothers and sisters to Dalian in near future.

They had their last dinner at Tiantian Yugang on Yan’an Road, and discussed their impressions of China. They said it was good to learn not only the past history of Manchukuo, but also the modern industry of China by visiting Software Park. (2010.09.12.)

Jinzhou and Lüshun:

Visiting a Factory in Dalian Development Area

Dalian Development Area, or DDA, is located in Dalian’s northern suburbs, where there are factories of many Japanese companies. In late December of 2013, I visited the factory owned by Akira Sawada, the president of Dalian Nagano Prefecture People’s Association. It is a subsidiary, established in 2005, of Koto Industry in Chino City, Nagano Prefecture, and was engaged in aluminum parts processing of the auto parts manufacturing of “die making, casting and processing”. It employed about fifty people and had ten machining centers, running 24 hours a day.

The company now processed a Japanese auto manufacturer’s parts, such as the table for the batteries. During the previous year’s anti-Japanese demonstration period, the sales of Japanese cars almost stopped, but now they were selling well because of better gas consumption rate, so that parts manufacturing intended for the large auto parts manufacturer (Ryobi) in DDA could not catch up with the demand. Among the instruments, I saw a three dimensional measure, made by Tokyo Seimitsu.

Back to the office, I looked at the company’s leaflet, listened to the company’s current status, and then had box lunch with Rong Jianghong, from one of the company’s business partners. As I left, they took me to Tax-Free Zone Station of the light rail, and was back to Dalian Station in 30 minutes. On the way to DDA, I had taken a bus directly to DDA from Heishijiao near my house. 在大连的四个市区：

有朋自远方来，不亦乐乎！

2010年9月我有一位俄罗斯朋友到大连。是来自莫斯科的奥列格・马尔可夫先生，去年去圣彼得堡以及莫斯科旅游的时候被邀请在他家留宿，非常感激。他去了大连金石滩游玩，我带他在市内观光。在市内参观了中山广场和俄罗斯一条街，虽然也去了旅顺。但是因为他不了解旅顺，我就对他说旅顺是日俄战争时期的≪阿瑟港≫，他就能够理解了。还带他参观了能够俯视到整个旅顺军港的白玉山和日俄战争时期战壕遗留下的东鸡冠山。

我在家为他做了简单的中国料理【西红柿炒鸡蛋】，然后我们畅谈了第二年的西伯利亚之旅的计划。他还特地为我带来了布拉戈维申斯克市产的【黑龙江的黄金】伏特加酒。

除此之外，在同一个月份里，还有高中时期同年级的15位同学（其中有7位是女性）也来到了大连，感到非常非常高兴。在大前年和前年的时候，铃木忠男和伊东惠子分别来过我这里，也有他们‘宣传’这个缘故，这回他们组成小队，由町田光司郎担任小组长，完成了一次哈尔滨、长春、大连为一线路的东北之旅。

首先、他们是周日晚上到达的大连、他们为我带来了日本茶和男性专用品、很重的用于手卷寿司的桶等礼物，非常感激。晚饭我们在大地食府吃了春饼，晚上他们便动身去了哈尔滨，之后去长春，最后在星期三早晨坐夜车返回大连。当天上午和中国导游在市内参观了旧南满铁路总公司等，下午由我带领他们参观了西郊外的大连软件园。星期四我又带他们参观旅顺—东鸡冠山、203高地、水师营会见所等。其中有一位女性在大连中山公园的对面一直住到了六岁，说很快也想带兄弟姐妹来大连玩。

最后的晚餐我们在延安路上的天天渔港共用的，在那里我们交换了很多意见，这回我们不仅谈论到了满洲的历史，而且软件园最新产业的盛况。

金州和旅顺：

大连开发区工厂参观记

大连开发区位于大连市北郊外，那里有很多的日本企业。2013年12月末，泽田晃董事长（大连地区长野县老乡会会长）带我参观了他在开发区的工厂。这家工厂是长野县茅野市的湖东工业公司的子公司，于2005年成立。这家公司主要经营汽车部件的模具制造，铸造，加工过程中的铝零件的加工。大约有50名员工使用十台加工中心（多工序自动数学控制机床）进行24小时生产作业。

这家工厂目前给中国中部的一家日系汽车公司供应零件（例如蓄电池底座）。前年秋天，由于反日游行，日本车的销售行情走低。但由于日系车省油的优点，今年日本车销量大增。这家公司给在开发区的大零件生产商（利優比公司）供货已经供不应求。这次参观，还让我见识了3D测定器（东京精密公司制造）。

回到办公室后，看了他们的宣传手册，并听他们给我介绍了公司的情况。之后与董事长和他的合作伙伴戎江虹女士一起吃了午餐。饭后，他们把我送到保税区轻轨站，30分左右就到了大连站，然后乘公车回到了高新区的家。去的时候坐的黑石礁直达开发区的客车。

大連市の4市街区で：

友の遠方より来たるあり、また楽しからずや

2010年9月に私のロシア人友人が大連へ来た。モスクワのオレーグ・マルコフさんで、前年に年サンクトペテルブルクとモスクワへ旅行した時に彼の家へ泊めてもらった。大連の金石灘へ旅行にきていて、私は大連市内と旅順を案内した。市内は中山広場とロシア街を見て、旅順も案内したが、旅順が分からなかったので、日露戦争の頃は「ポルト・アルトゥール」（Port Arthur）といったと思うといったら分かってくれた。旅順軍港を見下ろす白玉山と、日露戦争当時の塹壕が残っている東鶏冠山を案内した。

我が家で簡単な中国料理「トマトと卵炒め」を食べてもらい、翌年のシベリア旅行計画を話しあった。彼はブラゴヴェシュチェンスク産のウォトカ「アムール川の金」を持ってきてくれた。 (2010.09.09)

　またその月に、高校の同級生１５人（うち女性７人）が大連へ来てくれて、非常にうれしかった。前々年と前年に鈴木忠男くんと伊東智恵子さんがそれぞれ来てくれて、彼らが宣伝してくれたせいもあり、今回のグループが結成されて、町田光司郎さんをリーダーにして、ハルビン・長春・大連と中国東北旅行になったもの。

まず日曜日夕方大連へ寄って、日本茶や男性専用品、重い手巻き寿司用の桶などのお土産を届けてくれて、ありがたかった。大地食府の春餅で夕食をして、その夜すぐハルビンへ立ち、その後長春へも寄って、水曜日早朝に大連へ夜行列車で戻った。その日の午前は中国人ガイドと旧満鉄本社などの市内見物をして、午後は西郊外の大連ソフトウェアパークを私が案内した。木曜日は私も参加して旅順の東鶏冠山、２０３高地、水師営会見所などを見物した。女性のひとりが大連の中山公園の向かいに６歳まで住んでいて、近い将来兄弟姉妹を大連へ連れて来たいといっていた。

最後の夕食会は天々漁港（延安路）で、そこでいろいろな意見交換をしたが、今回は満州の歴史だけでなく、ソフトウェアパークの最新の産業を見たのがよかったと感想をもらった。 (2010.09.12.)

金州と旅順：

大連開発区の工場を見学

大連市の北郊外に大連開発区があり、多くの日系企業が工場を持っている。2013年12月末に、大連長野県人会の会長である澤田晃社長に頼んで、彼の工場を見せてもらった。長野県茅野市にあるコトー（湖東）工業の子会社で、2005年に創立し、おもに自動車部品作りの「金型作り～鋳造～加工」工程のアルミ部品加工を担当していて、約５０人の人々が１０台のマシニングセンターを２４時間使ってフル生産している。

今は中国中部にある日系自動車会社の部品（例えば電池を置く台）をやっていて、前年秋の反日デモ以降に日本車の売れ行きが止まったが、今年は燃費がいいので日本車がやはり大人気で、開発区にある部品生産を引き受けている大手会社（リョービ）へ納める部品生産が間に合わない状態だという。設備では３次元測定器（東京精密製）も見せてもらった。

　事務所へ帰って会社のパンフレットを見て、会社の説明を聞き、取引先の戎江虹さんとも一緒に昼食弁当を食べた。そこから軽軌（郊外電車）の保税区駅まで送ってもらい、30分で大連駅へ帰り、バスで高新園区の家へ帰った。行きには家に近い黒石礁から開発区行きバスに乗っていた。 (2013.12.27.)
